Join Microsoft’s Talent, Diversity, Inclusion and Learning (TDIL) team to help us achieve our mission to empower everyone, by connecting employees to our solutions, culture, and experiences.As a Sr. Communications Manager, Communications and Content you will leverage corporate communications, marketing communications, content development, storytelling, and project management skills to make a meaningful impact for the company and for Microsoft employees. In this role you will be responsible for partnering with your colleagues on the TDIL team and across Microsoft’s business to develop and execute communications activations and campaigns that support our company culture and employee engagement goals.
Your writing, employee communications, and content creation experience will help increase our impact across internal and external communications, storytelling, thought leadership, executive engagement, video series, and cultural campaigns. Through creating and updating messaging, communication plans, stories, and internal communications channels and microsites, you will drive connection between Microsoft’s culture and inclusion strategy and internal audiences such as Microsoft’s communities; create world-class content for events, solutions, and creative campaigns such as Microsoft’s The Code of Us; and bring to life powerful conversations that fuel innovation.

Globally Focused Storytelling and Messaging: Develop global storytelling and messaging across multiple form factors, channels, and audiences, informed by meaningful insights. Collaborate across teams to develop stories, narratives, creative assets, campaigns, and messaging frameworks anchored in global awareness and cultural sensitivity, and measure impact to apply learnings for continuous improvement.
Execution of Communication Strategy: Develop collateral materials (e.g., creative storytelling, presentations, videos, promotional copy, briefing materials, event content, scripting/messaging) for use in specific communications initiatives, presentations, internal activations, social media, and events.
Driving Communications for Communities: Own the communications efforts to support employee communities, ensuring community communications are connected to central strategy and governance; building networks and processes that enable powerful centrally driven storytelling; and ensuring communities are reflected in the broader narrative of employee experience and culture and inclusion.
Voice and Editorial: Work with individuals and teams to develop and maintain platform and voice, aligned to team, business, and organizational objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Develop expertise in stakeholder groups and individuals including employee communities, HR partners, and business partners, and leverage that understanding to develop and maintain clear processes, deepen relationships, and execute communications activations and campaigns.
Communications Innovation: Drive innovation in content and communications, including introducing and adopting AI-driven processes to scale and increase impact, continuously adapting strategies to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience; OR equivalent experience4+ years of experience managing multiple stakeholders, workstreams and projects on tight deadlines. 2+ years experience developing and leading creative campaigns, journalistic-style storytelling, and/or complex narratives. Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience OR equivalent experience2+ years experience working with social media platforms. Proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives for both internal and external audiences. Strategic, proactive, and creative, eager to try new tactics and skilled at turning ideas into action.
Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
