Description
The Devices Fulfillment and Logistics (F&L) team is anchored on optimizing the global network and delivering Microsoft’s key products to customers. As the Logistics Solutions Manager in F&L, you’ll bring your industry expertise to help identify and solve key challenges within our complex network. Your background will enable effective management of ad hoc projects and creation of regular business routines to optimize workflow. Design models for evaluating logistics operations, analyze models to recommend optimal processes, and partner with key stakeholders to recommend and drive capabilities.Leverage supply chain expertise to identify process gaps to drive efficiency, service, cost, and performance improvement. Share relevant insights and solutions cross-functionally and with leadership. Lead the design and development of new logistics solutions that enhance the overall offering and performance of the logistics network.Work with cross-functional teams on large-scale initiatives, coordinating logistics to ensure successful project integration.Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that turnaround times, quality standards, and cost expectations are met.Continually assess industry leading networks to implement mode optimization opportunities.Develop business rhythms across logistics stakeholders and key scorecards that will drive performance visibility.Conduct in-depth market research to stay informed about the latest trends, industry standard processes, and emerging technologies in logistics. Identify potential risks in the network and identify strategies to mitigate them.Leverage industry knowledge , an understanding of Microsoft and third-party technologies, and creativity to think beyond current practices. You’ll lead alignment with a wide range of stakeholders and leverage supply chain expertise and models to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, operations-related roles, or engineeringOR equivalent experience.Experience using data analysis to drive business decisions.Strong understanding of logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP) and technologies.Proven experience managing relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.Knowledge of trade and compliance policies to support operational decisions.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related rolesOR equivalent experience.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain solutions across the organization with clarity.Fulfillment & Logistics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
