What we are looking for
We are looking for a seasoned product leader for the role of Principal Group Product Manager who will be responsible for leading world-class enterprise AI governance capabilities for OneDrive and SharePoint services in Microsoft 365. You will be leading a team of product managers with the vision for next generation enterprise life cycle and security solutions for this AI era.
The keys to success will encompass creating a strategy for how digitally transformed enterprises can benefit from Microsoft 365’s compliance and enterprise management capabilities like multi-tenant-orgs (MTOs) and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) to meet their ever changing regulatory and lifecycle management needs. Spearheading the team to build a platform that offers comprehensive compliance capabilities like advanced retention policies and information barriers with simple administration experience for SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365. In addition, a focus on delivering high quality and extensible APIs platform for partners, both 1st and 3rd parties, to integrate with and uplift their own solutions.

You will lead the product strategy and development of AI for Security and Lifecycle solutions that empower millions of IT Admins around the planet. The solutions range from autonomous agents that can help IT Admins manage petabytes of growing digital content to address core enterprise scenarios like multi-tenant-organizations (MTOs), and cross-cloud connectors, to programmatic APIs for 3rd party partners to achieve these enterprise scenarios. You will lead our modern directory and security product portfolio that includes capabilities like advanced retention for cloud attachments powered by modern productivity experiences such as Teams Chat or Meeting and Microsoft Loop, real time monitoring & insights for information barriers offering peace of mind to enterprise’s compliance admins, and many more. You will work closely with other major services like Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Exchange, Teams, Fabric, Sentinel, Purview, Azure Active Directory, Azure Front Door, Key Vault, etc., across Microsoft. This is a highly collaborative role with emphasis on partnership across multiple disciplines including PM, Engineering, Design, Research, Data Science, Marketing, and Sales. You will be the voice of the product group in customer conversations and will have plenty of opportunities to work directly with big enterprise customers and government agencies and bring significant impact to Microsoft 365’s bottom line. You will model Microsoft’s manager values of Model, Coach, and Care.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service management or software development OR equivalent experience.6+ years people management experience.5+ years of experience launching multiple iterations of products and/or platforms to customers.5+ years of experience demonstrating enterprise-grade platform strategy from ideation to customer adoption. Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service management or software development OR equivalent experience.8+ years people management experience.Experience communicating with high-level stakeholders across multiple business units.Proven ability to collaborate across teams, disciplines, and across levels of management.Proven ability to engage in a healthy team culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging, and collaboration.Proven ability to understand diverse customer scenarios and experiences with openness and curiosity.Enterprise experience with AI tools such as Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude etc. Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
