Description
Microsoft Edge has been built on Chromium since 2018, and, in partnership with other participants, we aim to advance the web through an interoperable, shared, open-source web platform and ecosystem. The Edge team is the second-largest contributor to the Chromium project, with many important contributions in key areas like accessibility, layout, graphics, AI and much more. We also deliver critical web-based app platform technologies including Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and WebView2, an embedded control for building hybrid applications (such as the new Teams and Outlook apps). Our work is used every day by millions of applications and billions of users across the entire Chromium ecosystem. We aim to help shape the future of the web.We are seeking an experienced and visionary product leader to guide our growing investment in the Chromium project and our contributions to the web as a whole.
As the Group Product Mangement of the Edge Web Platform team, you will drive product strategy and innovation, build partnerships, advance listening systems for web developer needs, and build a strong team of talented product managers. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and external partners to deliver a world-class web platform for Edge customers and the web as a whole. This role will give you the opportunity to work across the industry at the forefront of the development of the web platform, and in a critical role to influence the direction of the web as a whole.

You will drive and coach teams to define business impact across the Microsoft Edge organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas across divisions. You’ll also provide strategic direction for the web and app platform in identifying long-term investment opportunities and will ensure teams engage partners to garner support for those feature areas.You will lead teams in defining a feature set and facilitate mid- and senior-level usability reviews with customers and partners. You’ll oversee teams owning the roadmap for multiple feature areas across divisions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing) to launch new features and enhancements.Engage with the developer community and standards bodies (e.g., the World Wide Web Consortium, W3C) to assess developer needs in order to shape and influence web technologies.Monitor market trends and user feedback to inform product decisions and roadmaps.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.4+ years people management experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.6+ years people management experience.Strong understanding of developer ecosystems, web platform, open source, and browser technologies.
Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
