Description

The Corporate Services Finance team provides key insights that help corporate business partners at Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. We are looking for a Group Finance Manager, Continuous Improvement to partner with Finance and Operations teams and leaders to support the cross-company Continuous Improvement work. This covers a wide range of responsibilities including various modeling and business analysis, finance partnership, and the creation and ownership of efficient financial processes. You will operate as a motivated and agile system thinker who can demonstrate intellectual curiosity and navigate ambiguity and complexity to be the trusted finance advisor to our finance leaders and drive success for our business partners. Developing and Tracking Metrics: Design, implement, and maintain financial and operational metrics and targets to monitor the performance of various projects and initiatives driven by the Continuous Improvement Team.Supporting Business Operating Reviews: Assist in the preparation and execution of operating reviews by providing timely and accurate financial data, analysis, and insights.Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve business goals.Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports to management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.Other: Embody our Culture and Values

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experienceOR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experienceOR equivalent experience.3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

3+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.

3+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.

Proven data and financial modeling capabilities, scenario analysis and ability to work with financial systems. Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way, including communicating with executive level leaders. Self-starter, ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, exhibit attention to detail, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver data driven insights. Interpersonal and cross-group collaboration skills. Ability to influence and impact without authority, operate in ambiguity, and solve difficult problems, combined with the ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic and matrixed environment.

Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
