Our team is seeking a Principal Group Engineering Manager to join our team to deliver world-class infrastructure for our services and soon AI services and Agents. As the leader of the Base Platform & Infrastructure team, you are obsessed about developer’s velocity and you will lead engineering teams chartered to providing a resilient platform that supports advanced AI and data workloads to provide highly reliable, scalable, secure, and automated services in a highly paced, dynamic environment. This role demands deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies, AI tech, DevOps practices, and security. Your team will design, implement, and operate the CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and deployment of platform services. You will stay acutely aware of COGS at scale, providing guidance to building features efficiently and ensuring that our infrastructure runs smoothly and cost effectively. You will be responsible for identity, access management, secrets protection, capacity and throttling services. You will provide a vision for supporting our AI platform needs and international presence, aligning with stakeholders to deliver innovative and impactful solutions that reach millions of customers worldwide.

As the Principal Group Engineering Manager, you will:

Lead and grow a team of engineering managers and engineers to build scalable services while championing a growth mindset, diversity and inclusion.Live by the leadership principles of: create clarity, generate energy and deliver results.Coach the team to deliver success through empowerment and accountability, establishing clear objectives and outcomes. Enable success across boundaries and help the team adapt and learn in a very high pace, adaptive environment.Guide partnership with appropriate stakeholders to determine requirements within and across teams, identify dependencies and lead the appropriate infrastructure design for high efficiency and low costs. Optimize for performance and cost.Champion automation in all aspects of infrastructure and deployment processes, ensuring efficient, repeatable workflows across environments.Oversee the implementation of robust security practices across the platform and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA), driving auditing, governance and access control.Drive technical innovation by exploring new cloud technologies and adopting best practices to enhance platform resilience and efficiency

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

A solidunderstanding of Azure technologies, AI technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.Experience architecting, developing and managing requirements and making data-driven decisions. Experience with high-availability architecture, disaster recovery, autoscaling.Experience in implementing security best practices and compliance audits.Experience in trade-off scenarios, prior ownership of a roadmap, and setting goalsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
