As a Governance Supportability Portfolio Manager, you will be pivotal in coordinating governance activities across all workstreams within the Governance Supportability & Innovation (GSI) team. Your role ensures that governance principles are embedded across finance, resource and capacity management, reporting, quality assurance, performance management, listening programmes, and delivery management governance. The successful candidate will act as the central point of accountability for governance frameworks, connecting these elements to the broader delivery management landscape.

The position requires strategic 360 governance landscape oversight, operational discipline, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. The Governance Supportability Portfolio Manager will identify and mitigate risks, drive compliance, and enable continuous improvement through structured governance practices. This role is key to ensuring transparency, alignment, and efficiency across the entire GSI governance portfolio, supporting organisational objectives and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Governance Leadership: Design, implement, and maintain cohesive governance frameworks that integrate all QSI workstreams.

• Integration and Alignment: Ensure governance functions connect seamlessly with delivery management processes and organisational priorities.

• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks across governance activities, implementing mitigation strategies.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior leaders, delivery partners, and cross-functional teams to drive governance adoption.

• Reporting and Insights: Deliver accurate, timely reporting and actionable insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

• Change Management: Lead governance-related change initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption.

• Continuous Improvement: Use governance insights to identify gaps and implement improvement programmes across processes and delivery. This includes performance and quality oversight and adherence to governance standards.

• Listening Programs: Govern feedback loops and listening mechanisms to capture frontline insights and inform governance evolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Hands on working experience in a dedicated governance portfolio management role within complex, multi-workstream environments.Strong understanding of governance frameworks across finance, resource and capacity management, reporting, QA, and performance management.Ability to connect governance elements to delivery management landscapes and operational rhythms.Proven ability to identify governance gaps / risk and implement effective mitigation strategies.Exceptional communication and influencing skills to engage senior leaders and cross-functional teams.Demonstrated experience in managing governance-related projects and driving organisational change.Proficiency in interpreting data, generating insights, and producing governance reports.Track record of leveraging governance insights to drive systemic improvements.Additional Qualifications:

Familiarity with governance and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, portfolio dashboards) is desirable.Any relevant Certifications like PROSCII, SIX SIGMA, PMP etc. would be desirable.Key Competencies

Proven expertise in governance strategy enablement, with the capability to translate strategic objectives into structured governance frameworks that drive measurable outcomes.Demonstrates strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Exhibits effective self-management, proactively adapts to changing environments, and maintains flexibility.Possesses change management and project management competencies, ideally supported by industry-recognised qualifications.Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
