As a Senior Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of global health and safety programs. You will work to ensure that Microsoft employees have a safe and healthy working environment by recognizing risks and unsafe practices, identifying and leading improvement initiatives, and monitoring performance and compliance. You will lead ongoing management of the health and safety programs within hardware labs globally. You must be an experienced technical professional in occupational health and safety, with a history of success in implementing processes at a large company. We are looking for someone with experience working directly with global OHS stakeholders to manage in-country compliance and someone who can be a thought leader with a collaborative mindset to help us shape our culture of health and safety through innovative, world-class offerings.

Responsibilities
Adjust based on business need to evaluate health, and safety impact across multiple facilities and workers environments, in alignment with Microsoft’s OHS management system Partners with business to design, recommend and support the implementation of solutions to mitigate identified risks. Proactively engage key stakeholders to ensure continual improvement of processes and program elements. Partner with business to conduct comprehensive internal assessments or audits, maintain compliance with relevant international standards (e.g., ISO 45001), and drives continuous improvement in OHS management systems. Lead cross team/country global OHS programs Partner with stakeholders via cross-functional projects and specifications.Work with teams in research and development labs on topics related to lasers, noise, respirator use, machine hazards, exposure assessment (Industrial Hygiene), heavy material handling, hazardous substances handling The complexity of our activities requires knowledge and technical capabilities in Occupational Health and Safety. Some examples of specific processes that this role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring include:
Supplier managementExperience developing and implementing OHS programs in alignment with ISO 45001 and local OHS regulations for countries you manage Ergonomics within an office and lab environmentExperience and knowledge of research and development labs on topics related to lasers, noise, respirator use, machine hazards, exposure assessment (Industrial Hygiene), heavy material handling, hazardous substances handling
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 6+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations OR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 8+ years environmental health and safety worldwide regulations experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field AND 12+ years environmental health and safety worldwide regulations experience OR equivalent experience.
Internationally recognized safety and health certifications.
Environmental Health & Safety IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
