The MCAPS Central Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a strategic, data-driven Senior Finance Manager with robust financial acumen, analytical expertise, and process management skills. This role plays a pivotal part in driving business insights, optimizing key Rhythms of Business, and serving as a critical bridge between Field Regional and Corporate teams. Given the global scope of this position, we seek a high-impact thinker who can collaborate effectively across geographies, influence senior stakeholders, and simplify complex financial processes to drive business outcomes.
As the Senior Finance Manager - Field Insights Lead within the MCAPS Central FP&A team, you will operate at the intersection of all Microsoft products, services, customer segments, and geographies, partnering closely with regional finance teams and global sales organizations to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. This role offers the opportunity to drive insights that shape Microsoft’s financial strategy at a global level.

Responsibilities
Lead IAR (Innovation Acceleration Room) and RFB (Regional Forecast and Business Performance Review) processes in close collaboration with E&O, Solution Area Finance Teams to drive thought leadership in key metrics and business performance analytics, maximizing the business outcomes from business discussions.Serve as the key connection point between regional finance and corporate teams, providing support and guidance to regional stakeholders across Enterprise and SME&C and owning WW BAM community engagement to share best practices. This role will bridge Field to Corp to craft the regional performance in Corp deliverables where applicable and own One Close process for month end.Gather and synthesize deal insights and global market share trends to contextualize Microsoft’s performance across segments versus peers.Support quarter-end deal execution by working with region leads to track quarter-end estimates and top deals, ensuring visibility into key revenue-driving opportunities.Own MCAPS ARR analytics, analyzing and distilling insights for month end.Lead key transformation initiatives on behalf of MCAPS Finance (i.e. ARR, MCA-E).Coach and mentor FRP on the team.

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.This role follows a hybrid work model and is based in Redmond, WA OR Atlanta, GA. Employees are expected to work on-site in Redmond OR Atlanta on a regular, recurring basis in alignment with business and team needs.
Additional or preferred qualificationsMasters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.5+ years of experience in big tech, banking, or management consulting environments5+ years of experience developing complex financial models and translating analytical insights into actionable strategies5+ years of experience delivering presentations to senior leadership, demonstrating executive presence and the ability to effectively communicate complex data and insightsCompelling attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reportingProven track record of continuous process improvement and driving operational excellenceAbility to manage multiple projects/workstreams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environmentComfort with ambiguity
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
