OverviewThe Commercial Products & Infrastructure (CPI) org is responsible for enabling business decisions to drive revenue, shape capex investments, manage cloud & AI capacity, deliver margin excellence, and ensure ongoing resource allocation aligned to strategic engineering priorities. Within CPI, the Resource Investment Strategy finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving team that partners deeply with engineering leaders to ensure $30B+ resources across ~100K engineering full time equivalent (FTE) are continuously aligned to strategic engineering priorities.
We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager to join the Resource Investment Strategy Finance team, partnering closely with key Engineering leaders. This role spans financial modeling, business analysis, and resource decision support, with a strong focus on enabling effective investment and workforce allocation decisions while maintaining efficient and compliant financial processes.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and agile systems thinker with strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity. You bring structured problem solving, sound judgment, and a learning mindset to evolving business questions, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. Success in this role requires building trust through thoughtful analysis, effective communication, and strong crossfunctional partnership, enabling you to serve as a trusted finance partner to Engineering leaders.

Responsibilities
Business Health: Drive process excellence while partnering across Engineering and Finance to continuously assess portfolio health and understand key drivers to identify opportunities, risks, and tradeoffs. Analyze results to understand performance against plan/forecast, monitors trends and key levers to support various engineering and finance rhythms. Ensures resources and investments are constantly aligned with business strategy, product engineering roadmaps, and company priorities.
Resource Analysis: Conduct resource analysis to provide health of business readouts and trends and articulate those findings to finance and leadership to support decision making. Communicate business results with clarity and conciseness, incorporating insights through resource allocation, workforce planning as well as understanding the connection between resource allocation with the overall financial performance.
Engineering Partnership: Support business decision making to drive operating leverage. Contribute insights for resource allocation and investment strategy by giving visibility to the current resource landscape and aligning to product strategy. Collect customer and partner feedback and assist with data analysis to improve decision support.
Rhythm of Business: Conduct regular financial reviews to enable faster decision making with timely and accurate reporting. Drive effective spend management aligned with company policies, procedures, and priorities in partnership with Engineering and Finance.
Proven ability to look beyond the numbers. Effective at cultivating diverse data outlets and connecting the information into a cohesive qualitative story.
Leverage best-in-class technology (e.g., Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Predictive Analytics etc.) to accomplish goals. Contribute to efforts to implement technology to increase productivity (e.g., report optimization) and to ensure accurate conclusions.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.This role follows a hybrid work model and is based in Redmond, Washington. Employees are expected to work on-site in Redmond on a regular, recurring basis in alignment with business and team needs.Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient technical skills (Excel, Power BI and AI)
Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into actionable insights through structured thinking, problem framing, and quantitative and qualitative analysis.
financial modeling skills with experience leveraging complex data sources and building tailored analytical frameworks.
communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial and strategic insights clearly to senior leaders.

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
