We’re hiring a Senior Finance Manager to lead revenue finance for Microsoft’s Azure AI business. In this role, you’ll be a trusted thought partner and strategic advisor, helping shape the future of Azure AI through long‑term revenue planning, business modeling, financial strategy, and cross‑company partnerships.

This position sits at the intersection of finance, product, and business leadership. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to deliver insights that drive data‑informed decisions, establish a strong financial rhythm, and reflect the overall health and trajectory of the business. Through deep collaboration across the C+AI Finance organization and our business partners, you’ll also help influence partnership strategy and unlock new growth opportunities.

This role is based in our Redmond office, where we come together in person three days a week to collaborate, share ideas, and drive impact as a team.

Responsibilities

Priorities

Leads the execution of annual business planning, market/compete analyses, monthly close, and quarterly forecasting for Azure AI revenue, and delivers weekly revenue sizing and quarterly outlook insights to our senior leadership team.

Builds scalable financial models and automated solutions to support decision-making across Azure AI partnerships.

Delivers business models and revenue monetization frameworks. Highlights tradeoffs, assesses risks and opportunities, and influences pricing and capacity planning decisions in partnership with sales, engineering, and partner finance teams.

Align with stakeholders on key performance indicators and expected outcomes. Converts business insights into measurable impact, refines AI business models, and supports long-term revenue strategy for Azure AI.

Protect

Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes.

Drives corrective measures.

Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies.

Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance,OR related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent finance work experience.8+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, revenue finance, or related roles

Preferred Qualifications

Cross group collaboration skills including the ability to comfortably communicate with executive management at Microsoft.

Ability to effectively manage multiple inputs across many stakeholders, prioritizing the effort on main drivers.

Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a very fast pace.

Analytical and strategic thinker.

Ability to identify opportunities for the business to and build and nurture relationships across finance and business partners to drive results and insights.

Show propensity for learning, and demonstrate ability to identify, analyze, interpret, and deliver sound solutions.

Executive level oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate complex analysis and models in a simple way.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the ability to synthesize insights from large datasets.

Benefits/perks listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Microsoft and the country where you work.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
