The Technical Finance Team is part of a broader team that provides key insights that help Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. We are at the hub of Microsoft’s financial activities, being a key strategic partner to all sides of the business and serving a diverse set of stakeholders: Board of Directors, Wall Street analysts and shareholders, the Leadership Team (Chief Executive Officer {CEO}, CFO, and Executive Vice Presidents {VPs}), executive staff (Corporate Vice Presidents {VPs}), finance leadership (CFOs and controllers), and functional teams across the company (Corporate Strategy and central teams).The Technical Finance Team is responsible for consolidating financial insights which span the entire company, supporting diverse financial analyses for our leaders. Examples include business performance metrics, forward-looking guidance, extended long-range planning, corporate structure, cash flow reporting and analysis, foreign exchange, and market/compete. We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead cash flow innovation, drive special projects, and coach others on the team across all pillars. The person in this role will learn executive perspective and contribute to company-wide impact, while gaining CFO skills that are difficult to get anywhere else.

Specific job responsibilities will be dependent on the pillars that this candidate will lead. General responsibilities for all members of the team are:
Develop trusted partnerships across diverse teams such as Corporate Strategy, Human Resources, Tax, Accounting, and Finance;Demonstrate attention to detail in financial modeling, reporting, and presentations;Simplify complex details to support leadership decision-making;Manage change and drive opportunities for efficiency and automation across financial rhythms of business (ROB);Successful execution of time-sensitive and high-pressure deliverables with calm composure, positive attitude, and team spirit;Contribute to team growth including mentorship, coaching, recruiting, onboarding, and training activities;Apply judgment and manage multiple workstreams to create clarity in ambiguous scenarios;Embody our culture and values.
Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related fieldOR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications
Proven cross-group collaboration and business partnering skills including interpersonal skills, conflict/negotiation management, ability to influence resultsProven written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple groups, responsive with customer service orientationDemonstrated strength in process and project managementDetail oriented & thorough, with the ability to think “big picture”Proven analytical problem-solving skillsAbility to juggle multiple projects/priorities, thrive in an ambiguous environment, and reprioritize as necessary to align with current business objectivesMicrosoft 365 and Power Platform skills (ie: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
