We are currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager- Strategic Deals to join our team.The Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s cloud-first strategy and we are seeking a highly collaborative individual who thrives in designing and implementing new processes and delivers on execution.
This individual will be key to ensuring the buy/sell long-term contracts operationalized in accordance with MS Policies, GAAP, local GAAP and SOX. The role requires the ability to optimize processes for efficiency and scale and have an outstanding attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, takes initiative, is excited for big challenges and can work independently in their approach to solving complex problems.

Establish & oversee accounting processes for tracking the costs for the build out and expansion of the Datacentres in the Sovereign Cloud contract arrangement, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.Drive insightful monthly financial reporting & analysis through preparation of key deliverables for monthly close, planning (forecast, target, budget, etc.) and other financial & Business review cycles. Effectively collaborate with launch managers and cross-company operational, finance, compliance, technical, business and engineering managers to enable and oversee financial and operational processes including billing, credits processing, recording shipping and tax invoices to comply with partner and Microsoft accounting requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and capacity teams to drive compliant and scalable growth by automating procurement and cost-tracking processes and ensuring finance readiness for both partners and Microsoft. Prepare, maintain and update compliance documentation including but not limited to narratives, process flows, accounting flows, etc.Other ad-hoc projects as assigned by Leadership Team
Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related fieldOR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related fieldOR equivalent experience.Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley, US GAAP and International accounting.

Business partnering experience, collaborative and inclusive when working with othersProject management skillsProven Excel skills. experience in data cubes & BI reporting a plus.Foresight for process improvement, simplification, automation.Excellent cross-group collaboration skills including the ability to communicate with executive management.Process or operations accounting experience and drive for flawless execution.Ability to influence and impact without authority, and solve difficult problems, combined with the ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic and operational environment.Show propensity for learning, and demonstrate the ability to identify, analyze, interpret, and deliver sound solutions.Willingness and desire to understand technical requirements, processes & systems critical to our Online Operations.Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
