Responsibilities
Prepare customer contract assessments in compliance with Microsoft’s Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 accounting policies and guidelines to document accounting conclusions and calculate revenue adjustmentsAsssess contract amendments to draw proper Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 conclusions and determine Day 2 revenue adjustmentsEngage in discussions with Deal Desk to gather deal specific information and business context required to effectively complete contract reviews and amendment assessmentsReviews peer work product for completeness and accuracy once proficiency of product and services knowledge is attainedPerform month end close revenue tasks independentlyDevelop deep understanding of Microsoft's revenue policies to effectively pose and field inquiries to/from business partnersIdentify deal trends to raise for leadership considerationEmbody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experienceOR equivalent experience1+ year(s) of experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition
Additional/Preferred Qualifications:
Professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalentExperience in the technology or software industry and/or with multinationals with multi-product and segment finance roles
Accounting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
