Overview

The Partner Investments Finance team is part of Small Medium Enterprise and Channel (SME&C) Finance within the broader MCAPS Finance Team. The team collaborates with stakeholders across the company (GPCS, Solution Areas, Marketing, Business Planning) to optimize Microsoft’s multi-billion dollar investment in the partner ecosystem.

• Designing, executing, and evangelizing investments that align with Microsoft’s strategy

• Maximizing portfolio returns in both the short and long term across Solution Areas such as Cloud & AI Platforms, AI Business Solutions, and Security

As a Senior Finance Manager – Partner Investments, you will oversee financial performance for partner incentives and strategic campaigns that fuel Microsoft cloud and AI growth through partners.

This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: in-person collaboration with teammates at our Redmond offices three days a week, and the flexibility of remote work for the remainder.

Responsibilities

Drive programmatic investments through comprehensive financial analysis, execution, performance tracking, and lever analysis to accelerate cloud growth.Partner with Incentive Design leaders to oversee pre- and post-sales investments that build pipeline and drive sales outcomes.Launch and manage pilots, campaigns, and custom frameworks to enable test-and-learn approaches before scaling programs more broadly.Support fiscal year planning, forecasting, and close for a defined set of incentive programs. Provide data-driven insights to business partners on incentive performance, ROI, and program utilization.Collaborate with stakeholders across GPCS, Strategy, and Marketing to design and launch new incentives by developing financial models, conducting scenario analysis, and providing financial insight.Apply strategies to proactively mitigate or respond to macroeconomic and geopolitical risks, recommending solutions as appropriate.Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring the accuracy of financial documents and business processes.Drive corrective measures where needed.Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field.OR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Controllership, and Corporate Finance & StrategyExperience building complex models that leverage multiple data sources and advanced Excel functionalityProven ability to engage with and influence senior-level stakeholders (up to VP/CVP level)Collaborator who enjoys working with a wide range of personality styles and culturesSuperior communicator who can explain complex analyses in a simple wayConfidence and ability to influence stakeholders without authorityTrack record of impact in roles as a trusted business advisorDeep interest in data, with the ability to see beyond the numbers and drive sound decision-makingCommitment to self-accountability

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
