Commercial Products and Infrastructure (CPI) Finance is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s cloud-first strategy. The team’s charter is to build-out Microsoft’s end-to-end cloud infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve both profit and gross margin growth. As a crucial member of the team, you will support long-term bets and drive competitive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition, while enhancing transparency into cloud infrastructure investments, and safeguarding shareholder value.
CPI Infra and Margins finance team is responsible for margin strategy and investment optimization for cloud products including Modern Work.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Manager to partner with engineering and business leaders to deeply understand, influence, and manage the gross margin health of Office Product Group (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) The role partners with engineering and finance to model, plan, and implement structural efficiencies, and long-term bets. The team partners with engineering and finance partners to support the GM health of Office 365 Commercial businesses.
Oversee financial health of Office Product Group (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Loops, etc.) through forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and long-range planning to achieve steady-state gross margin. Continuously enhance financial models to reflect business evolution. Partner with engineering to drive product profitability, offering insights and recommendations to meet cost of goods sold (COGS) and margin goals. Lead cost optimization and scenario planning and define action plans with stakeholders. Deliver actionable insights to business leaders via recurring reports, trend analysis, and variance resolution. Ensure accountability and execution of financial strategies. Synthesize diverse data into clear narratives and communicate results effectively, demonstrating business acumen. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations by reviewing financial processes and documents. Advise on policy adherence and coordinate with Compliance teams.

QualificationsMinimum/Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or related field.OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related fieldOR equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in financial analysis.

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experienceOR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experienceOR equivalent experience
Proficient analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities and strategic thinking. Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast moving environments with evolving technology and business model trends.Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level oral and written communication skills. Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and team efforts.Proficient partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required.Comfortable operating across all levels, from strategic initiatives to detailed COGS analysis.Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver.
Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
