As a Finance MBA Intern, you will work for 12 weeks in the Central Finance Team at Microsoft. This team is responsible for analysis of company performance, creation of financial forecasts, development of the annual budget, ensuring accurate close results and providing ad-hoc support for management requests. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside members of the Central Finance Team to deliver recommendations on key projects. These projects will provide you with valuable insights into the company, its stakeholders’ objectives, internal systems, operating practices, and constraints. You will be able to apply your previous knowledge and skills to develop solutions to complex issues.
Throughout your internship, you will have the chance to learn about various aspects of the company and its operations. At the end of your internship, you will have the opportunity to present your work and findings to upper-level finance leaders. This is a great opportunity for MBA students to gain hands-on experience and make meaningful contributions to the company.

Contributes to the analysis of present and future financial performance of various products, segments, or other businesses. Assists more upper-level team members to conduct analysis and research studies of financial plans, acquisition activity, and future opportunities. Assists in the execution of annual business planning and forecasting process. Gathers insight and contributes to analysis and research to support preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles. Contributes insights for financial plans, variance analysis, resource optimization, investments, key performance indicators (KPIs), long-range planning, and driving margin accountability. Manages and executes processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Assembles and summarizes data through data mining and business intelligence to structure reports and financial models for decision support. Leverages statistical analyses, predictive analytics, and financial modeling techniques to conduct sophisticated analyses. Acts as subject matter expert for data management and operations. Understands the history of data procurement, location, methods, issues, and actions taken. Communicates recurring and ad-hoc results in a logical and understandable message. Qualifications
Required QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship.
3+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) within a global organizationProven track record of working in large-scale global organizationsExtensive corporate finance experience, including financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
The base pay range for this internship is USD $5120.00 - $10130.00 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $6720.00 - $11200.00 per month.
