OverviewThe team’s charter is to drive GitHub growth while achieving high‑quality gross margins. As a member of the team, you will also support long‑term strategic initiatives, modernization of GitHub architecture, and contribute to competitive analysis to help keep GitHub well‑positioned in the market — all while enhancing transparency into investments and supporting shareholder interests.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager supporting our product margins and strategy, defining key areas for margin expansion for GitHub.

Responsibilities
Partner with the GitHub leadership team to optimize capacity investments across all cloud capacity platforms.Support modernization of legacy platforms on lowest‑cost SKUs and identify and prioritize investments that contribute to sustained margin growth.Serve as a trusted advisor and build collaborative working relationships with the Azure Compute leadership team.In partnership with engineering teams, co‑own the product roadmap and per‑user economics. Drive clear, consistent planning assumptions and financial performance expectations across cross‑functional teams with aligned assumptions on margin expectations and engineering efficiencies (utilization, hardware density, etc.).Collaborate with engineering, business planning, and finance counterparts to define product enhancements and support market share acceleration and margin growth.Deliver quarterly financial and operational reviews with EG leaders, clearly communicating results and recommendations to senior business leaders. Own analysis of key metrics, visualized insights, and investment recommendations for key executives.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field ORBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience. Additional or preferred qualifications: Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience ORBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
