This Finance Manager for Cloud Applications Revenue Forecast & Planning Analytics role, supporting some of Microsoft’s most exciting and scaled businesses that is being re-energized by AI. The role will focus on net revenue and revenue adjustment forecast, planning and financial health. The role is also accountable to driving our partnership with Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Finance. This is a high impact role with an opportunity to have a critical input into the external revenue guidance for our business and drive analytics that influence revenue targets. The individual will also conduct financial analysis to provide health of business insights and trends and articulate those findings to the finance leadership to support revenue strategies & strategic decision making. The candidate will build robust, driver-based financial models to guide decision-making on business structure, strategy, pricing, revenue, target setting and strategic direction.

Prioritize

Financial modeling: Build robust, driver-based financial models to guide decision-making on business structure, strategy, pricing, revenue, and strategic direction Financial analysis: Conduct financial analysis to provide health of business readouts and trends, and articulate those findings to finance and marketing leadership to support decision makingRhythm of Business: Conduct regular revenue and key performance indicators reviews, develop quarterly forecast and target, and support business reviewsBusiness Health: Define and land key performance KPIs to assist in assessing EA/CSP/OLS business health and driving strategic goals across Microsoft leadership and Microsoft’s sales organizationAnnual target setting: Drive reporting, rhythms and deep horizontal analytics during the target setting process focused on sales motion and pricing level drivers in alignment with CPF and MCAPS

Partnership

Partner with our Cloud Application Revenue Finance teams, Central Finance team, MCAPS Finance and Corporate Accounting to help build the M365 and Copilot story focused on the what and the why on business performance and actions that are required to ensure the business remains healthy, sustainable and able to hit short and long term goalsProvides business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue and profitability goals and drive shareholder return.Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context) to multiple situations to evaluate results and analysis. Develops and manages strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and/or geopolitical risks. Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of changes, and drives improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Contributes to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial models. Provides advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.Leads efforts to leverage technology to increase productivity (e.g., report optimization) and to ensure accurate conclusions. Integrates varied data sources and assimilates the information into a comprehensive, clear narrative. Communicates results in a compelling and understandable message. Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation.

Protect

Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Drives corrective measures. Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies. Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure the team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related fieldOR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related fieldOR equivalent experience.This role requires you to be onsite at our Redmond, WA hub 3+ days a week

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
