Description
The goal of Central Finance Team (CFT) is to provide key insights that help Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. Our team is at the hub of Microsoft's financial activities, being a key strategic partner to all sides of the business and serving a diverse set of stakeholders: CFOs, top Leadership Team, engineering groups, and sales and marketing teams.We are looking for a Finance Manager, Central Finance Team, with efficient modeling and analytical skills. This role cuts across revenue, gross margin and planning initiatives and requires advance executive presence to land key messages with Microsoft leadership team. The person needs to have desire and drive to understand the business model and drivers across Microsoft business portfolio. You will use that knowledge to drive our fiscal year planning process and supporting strategic presentations to our executives, board, and sales organization.

A successful candidate should be able to analyze Microsoft revenue and gross margin drivers. Candidate should be comfortable operating in ambiguity/ whitespace topics as the role will require creating frameworks, as we navigate through the AI era. Ability to build cross-team relationships effectively and communicate clearly and succinctly to management will be critical for this role.
Core responsibilities include:
Lead strategic customer solution areas framework and help evolve based on leadership directives Lead AI P&L reporting process and framework within Central Finance team and support driving governance and requirement for systems & tools Support fiscal year planning process, partnering across Finance to align on revenue and margin targets Analyze margin trends across the company to set appropriate goals by business for the upcoming year and make recommendations to Corporate Finance leadership Identify key metrics to help focus strategic direction of the company Partner with the Office of the CFO to prepare presentations for executive and board of directors Drive special projects as requiredEmbody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related fieldOR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related fieldOR equivalent experience.**This role does require you to be onsite 2-3 days a week.**
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience. Familiarity with Microsoft financial processes and reporting technologies & systems, such as MS Sales, Mercury, Plancast, MSRA, etc. preferred. Advanced management, prioritization, and organization skills Maturity and drive for results and impact competencies Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly efficient with cross-group collaboration and executive presence Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
