Description
The goal of the Central Finance Team (CFT) team is to provide key insights that help Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. Our team is at the hub of Microsoft's financial activities, being a key strategic partner to all sides of the business and serving a diverse set of stakeholders: CFOs, Senior Leadership Team, engineering groups, and sales and marketing teams. It comprises of teams focused on FP&A across all of the company’s financial activities, Investor Relations, Procurement & Finance Data.One of the largest and fastest growing segments of our business is the Intelligent Cloud, comprising of our Azure, SQL & Windows Server and our Enterprise & Partner Services businesses. We are looking for a Finance Manager, Central Finance Team, with advanced analytical, collaboration and storytelling skills to lead the framing and storytelling of the drivers of business performance through outstanding collaboration with engineering groups (EG) and Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) teams.
This person will have high levels of curiosity and a desire to understand the products within the portfolio and how these are used, sales motions and customer use cases and being able to translate depth of insights into executive level framing for the senior leadership team (SLT), investor and reporting. In addition, this person will build and maintain deep connections to design, effectively scale and evangelize new frameworks across the organization.

Commercial Analysis: For Intelligent Cloud, drive the monthly and quarterly analysis, identify key business insights and lead quarterly forecast triangulation and insights. Commercial Forecast: Co-lead quarterly commercial forecast process, collaborating with EG and MCAPS teams to ensure that deliverables land in line with required timelines. Adhoc projects: incubate new frameworks, drive deeper analytics on Revenue performance of key products and key competitors.Embody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related fieldOR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related fieldOR equivalent experience.**This role does require you to be onsite 2-3 days a week.**
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience OR equivalent experience. Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
