Description

Microsoft’s Commercial Product Infrastructure Team (CPI) team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy.

This role will focus on optimizing our Security investments specifically supporting the CISO organization. As a crucial member of the team, you’ll also support long term bets and drive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition. All while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments, safeguarding shareholder interest.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Finance Manager to drive decision support and strategy, as well as the rhythm of the business for our investments in Security. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated and curious.

Ownership of key financial deliverables across rhythms of the business such as close, forecast, budget, and planning. Lead day-to-day partnership with engineering to drive profitability by understanding the margin implications for services along with driving unit cost down for the portfolio. Manage financial health through defined Objectives Key Results (OKRs)/KPIs aligned across functions, as well as through P&L reporting. Partner across finance orgs, including revenue planning, infrastructure, Research & Development, and Financial Planning & Analysis to drive results. Articulate findings into high quality communications and facilitate executive decision making across Cloud +Engineering business and finance executive leaders. Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Miniumum Qualifcations:

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance,or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics,Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting,controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.2 years of experience building Excel models and leveraging financial systems for accurate analysis and reporting. Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experienceOR equivalent experience. Business partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence business partners without direct authority and to appropriately push back when required. Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with evolving technology and business model trends. Prefer deep understanding of the technology industry, particularly commercial public and private cloud services, business models and economics. Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way. Executive level oral and written communication skills. Analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities, and ability to think strategically. Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed COGS analysis. Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
