The Financial Compliance and Engagement Team is a core function of the Planning & Launch Organization in MBO helping to ensure Financial Reporting Compliance for the most important priorities getting to market.
We are looking for a Finance Director, a dynamic, strategic thinker who will drive financial compliance across the launch delivery life cycle. The successful candidate will bring their finance acumen and expertise to influence the design of financial systems and processes to support Microsoft Financial Reporting. This critical role will help drive system capabilities development, as well as collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to deliver financially compliant launches with speed and agility.
We are looking for a proven organizational and people leader, strategic thinker who will lead a team to deliver outstanding Launch Financial Capability Design, Requirements and Testing. The priorities of this role include – delivering the design for foundational platform capabilities that meet financial requirements to be compliant, documenting and defining financial requirements, and testing and signing off on capabilities prior to go-live. This leader must also be excellent at organizational and talent development – creating the right culture to attract best in class talent and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast paced environment.

Managing a team of Finance professionals with a diverse portfolio of Launches and ensuring accurate, on-time and compliant Launches that maximize speed to market for Microsoft.Leading resourcing decisions as new work signals drive demand into Launch delivery, carefully balancing Capacity across the team with MS Priorities.Building & managing relationships with internal business groups across Microsoft to create shared understanding on Financial Reporting risks, platform capabilities to ensure informed business prioritization and decisions making. Ability to translate Business scenarios into Financial Reporting requirements and Finance validation testing plans.Roll out the adoption of AI in every step of our Launch execution cycle and drive success execution of our KPIsDriving alignment across all dependent and joint groups to ensure a holistic “One Microsoft” approach to delivering Launches with the highest quality and speed to value.Driving strategic transformation initiatives, including proactively identifying and solving roadblocks in the process, in order to get ahead of changes in our business and our launch financial services.Driving articulate messaging and communication for Launch Execution across all levels of the organization to drive awareness, understanding and alignment on plans, roadmaps and implicationsOperating as an organizational leader, with proven track record of attracting, retaining, and cultivating high performing talent
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field AND 8+ years of finance or financial compliance experienceOR equivalent experience10+ Years experience in supporting Financial Compliance of Commercial products launches with expertise in Revenue recognition and Financial systems.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field AND 15+ years experience in finance or financial complianceOR Master's Degree in finance or related field AND 12+ years experience in finance or financial complianceOR equivalent experienceCPA of equivalent preferredA track record of partnering across a wide-array of internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels.Proven impact and influence skills - ability to work broadly across disparate groups to gain agreement on direction, integrate disparate opinions into cohesive strategy/message and present/defend recommendations.Ability to translate insight into content, create slide or written presentations, create overall communication plans.Knowledge of Microsoft financial and operational capabilities.Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment.Finance Compliance M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
