Microsoft Advertising offers cutting-edge digital advertising solutions to the world's top advertisers. We're looking for a Field Sales Excellence Manager to join the Small, Medium Business (SMB) Operations team. Your role will be crucial in driving key initiatives like acquisition, onboarding, retention, and growth within our SMB advertising sector. As a Field Sales Excellence Manager, you'll plan, execute, and iterate operational strategies to scale SMB advertiser acquisition, retention, and growth through effective program and project management. You will work closely with Delivery Partners and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality outcomes and address any sales challenges and inform strategic planning and execution. Your efforts will ensure we maintain a consistent rhythm of connection, fostering accountability and ongoing improvement.

Business Partnership and Support:

Drive account or business planning with minimal assistance, providing suggestions to benchmark performance and define actions for teams.Advise sales leads or partners and collaborate with peers to develop segment strategy, including segmentation, territory planning, and quota setting. Work closely with Global Sales Operations (GSO) on quota distribution strategy and timelines.Maintain a regular rhythm of connection (RoC) for the operational unit, preparing for and following through on RoC activities, and offering business insights and recommendations.Contribute to sales teams on sales motions/strategies for opportunity management, such as up-sell, cross-sell, and retention. Assist in operationalizing prioritized sales plays and industry solutions via a delivery partner, support new business generation, and accelerate the closing of existing opportunities.

Sales Coaching for Growth and Transformation:

Establish relationships with sales leads and the delivery partners, supporting and collaborating on the coaching of sellers and/or managers.Enhance awareness and adoption of Corporate or Regional programs among sales teams and managers, fostering new habits and clear communication.Execute and contribute to the optimization of sales team processes and capabilities, applying knowledge of customer/partner needs to transform seller capabilities, sales processes, and partner engagement.Collaborate with minimal assistance to suggest actions that address sales roadblocks, drive investment utilization, increase customer/partner-facing time, and improve seller/partner capability and effectiveness. Collect and channel feedback on sales challenges or blockers.

Driving Sales Process Discipline:

Utilize key reporting tools and conduct analysis on key revenue drivers in collaboration with team members, and escalate any issues in reporting or analytics.Instill sales process discipline, ensuring adherence to standards and excellence in execution, as well as maintaining pipeline health. Play a role in holding sales managers accountable for the quality and completeness of account plans, while adopting and sharing best practices.Support sales teams and managers in understanding and effectively using common and/or new processes and tools developed for the wider business. This includes improving internal and external communications and engagements, developing subject matter expertise, and collecting feedback on tools.

Supporting Executive Capacity

Supports segment leader capacity as a leader. Advises on and contributes to various aspects of business management (e.g., employee engagement, resource allocation, change management, building high-performing teams) in collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams. Represents the segment as an internal advocate and an extension of the segment leadership.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

4+ years experience in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related fieldOR equivalent experience.3+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.3+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 6+ years experience in Advertising sales operations/management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field 4+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience. 3+ years working with search and/or display advertising technology Sales Excellence IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
