The Xbox console hardware team is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer to own schematic design on key Xbox products. The candidate will possess the ability to collaborate closely with engineers across the team who work on many different electrical subsystems like memory, power, high-speed IO, low-speed IO, RF, SOCs, and mechanical design. This individual will work to gather design requirements, understand subsystem architectures, and integrate everything into one cohesive schematic design for a next-gen product. The candidate will be well versed in core electrical engineering design principles and need to have a good understanding of circuit design, datasheet analysis, timing analysis, power, performance, and circuit debugging. An eagerness to learn, good communication skills, and a willingness to tackle big challenges are necessary for success in this position.

Own the end-to-end development of the electrical schematic for flagship Xbox products. Implement innovative solutions to electrical design challenges with guidance from other engineers. Read component specifications and interpret common details required to design and test various hardware features. Analyze and interpret electrical test results to identify common problems or flaws that affect the product design. Develop design documentation including drawings, specifications, schematics, or wiring diagrams. Determine the appropriate test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) for measuring and testing an electrical circuit. Write verification test cases using standard templates and test methodologies. Develop, review, and execute test plans for standard Xbox features and products. Document essential details about materials, components, and/or assemblies for a device via accepted release processes. Accurately record and track changes to designs following established processes with some guidance from other engineers. Communicate project progress and status within the team and escalate issues as necessary.
