The Xbox Gaming Devices Engineering team is seeking an Electrical Engineer - RF Wireless to assist in Radio Frequency/Wireless architecture, development, and characterization efforts of existing and future products. The candidate will possess the ability to collaborate closely with our RF/Wireless engineers, development partners, electrical, firmware/software, test/manufacturing, and mechanical development teams to ensure all RF/Wireless-related system goals are met or exceeded while delivering world-class consumer electronic performance.
The candidate will be versed in electrical engineering or computer engineering, with relevant course work related to RF/Wireless. The candidate needs to have an understanding of circuit design, RF/wireless, antenna design and performance associated with such technology.
The candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of core engineering principles, analytical process, disciplined methodology, superior problem-solving skills, and a passion for developing technologies and products with a broad scope of impact. Good communication skills, and a willingness to tackle big challenges, are necessary for success in this position.
The candidate will support RF/Wireless technologies including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and will be responsible for the hands-on testing, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of the RF\Wireless subsystem on XBOX devices right from the prototype stage to products in high volume manufacturing.

Define, drive, and deliver on an RF/Wireless related project for Xbox Products.Investigate future RF/Wireless technologies. Deliver the motherboard implementation and simulation of RF/Wireless Interfaces. Execute RF/Wireless electrical and functional test plans.Execute Design Of Experiments to characterize RF/Wireless subsystem across environmental and spatial variables.Develop and maintain scripts to automate testing.Analyze, document, and communicate test results.Work efficiently with Electrical Engineer, Firmware, mechanical and other cross-functional teams for product design.Embody our Culture & Values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications4+ years of technical engineering experience o OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or
related field.
Experience or course work on electro magnetics, antenna design, and/or wireless networksExperience with Wi-Fi Technologies / Bluetooth Technologies Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experienceOR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.Good understanding of Computer Architecture.Familiar with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (preferably Cadence Allegro).Familiar with simulation tools: ADS, MATLAB and HFSS. A solid understanding of core engineering principles, circuit design and analysis.Experience with a variety of lab equipment, including but not limited to oscilloscopes, electronics loads, thermal chambers, temperature sensing and management systems, DMM’s, automation equipment is desired.Independent problem-solving and general debugging of complex PCBA designs.Electrical Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
