The Director - Threat Intelligence Marketing will lead product marketing for Microsoft’s threat intelligence portfolio—across products and in close partnership with field teams—as new capabilities and offers are defined and brought to market. This leader will shape how Microsoft’s threat intelligence is positioned, experienced, and adopted by customers, while helping the company stand out in a highly competitive security landscape.
Responsibilities
Own inbound product strategy for threat intelligence, including:Evaluating how multiple threat intelligence sources are aggregated in backend pipelines o Shaping how threat intelligence surfaces in Microsoft Defender, including the Threat Encyclopedia and incident-level intelligenceAssessing and evolving threat intelligence coverage across scenariosDriving the continued expansion of the Threat Intelligence Briefing Agent as we move toward an agent centric worldDeliver high impact marketing content that brings the threat intelligence strategy to life for CISOs and security practitioners, including PowerPoint presentations, web content, infographics, demos, videos, blogs, and more—across email, endpoint, and identity security categoriesDrive participation in key analyst engagements focused on threat intelligence and threat intelligence powered servicesSupport the field sales motion, including:Developing technical demos where appropriateIdentifying top field blockers and ensuring they are rapidly addressed through content and product feedbackOwn Microsoft’s competitive threat intelligence narrative, positioning the company for success against competitors such as Google and CrowdStrike, in close partnership with the competitive intelligence teamContribute as an individual leader to team culture aligned with our broader organization, with a focus on diversity, collaboration, team-first mindset, and the career growth and development of team members.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in marketing commercial software to business users and IT OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in marketing commercial software to business users and IT OR equivalent experience.Additional or preferred qualifications
Knowledge of one or more Microsoft applicationsExcellent communication skills, high degree of accountability with willingness to take measured risks and set bold goalsProven capability to deliver world class marketing content, including value proposition, evidence, blogs, whitepapers & presentations for identified scenarios, products/features and segments/audiencesAbility to translate solutions understanding into a compelling story for customers’ that clearly articulates Microsoft’s strategy, benefits and differentiation when using Microsoft’s servicesAbility to analyze and diagnose complex product and business challenges, formulate solutions, and then motivate the broader organization to pragmatic actionDesire to be involved in a development stage business with an entrepreneurial biasProven capability to develop working relationships with customers, executives, engineering teams, and other product and marketing groups across MicrosoftExperience and a track record of success in product marketing or product management is essential. Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
