Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Product Marketing team leader. A healthy and thriving advertiser and publisher ecosystem is a core pillar of a rich and diverse web that delights users. As the web transforms with AI, agents and related disruptive trends, we aim to help our advertiser, publisher, and partner ecosystem to optimize their ads and brand and invest in engaging experiences for their audiences.

This role will require collaboration with Product Managers, Business Strategy and Partner-facing teams, helping to define a product roadmap based on the needs of our partners and leading the articulation of our value proposition for this audience. We seek an experienced people manager with a proven record of managing high performance teams, fostering collaboration, nurturing talent and embodying Microsoft’s culture and values. This person leads by example, being a thought leader and strategist who can define competitive positioning, drive prioritization alignment, and influence action across teams. Team leader: Lead, coach, and develop a team of high-performing product marketers to achieve business objectives while developing and nurturing talent. Help to shape a team culture where everybody thrives.Customer and Market Signals: Prioritize, synthesize and articulate customer inputs and market intelligence to identify opportunities and define strategies for enhancing customer experience and driving revenue across for Microsoft and our partners. Define customer listening strategies to inform investment priorities and product roadmap.Positioning, Unique Value Proposition, Product-Market Fit: Push for the creation of differentiated value proposition that aligns with customer goals. Guarantee organization alignment around of product positioning and ensure consistent and compelling messaging to our customers. Provide inbound product-market fit input and solution mapping into Product Management process.Go-to-Market Leadership: Strategically define powerful moments for impactful product releases, maximizing adoption and customer satisfaction. Set clear impact metrics and long-term goals, socializing how GTM execution connects to our vision. Define and deliver proof points and claims demonstrating customer success. Partner closely with Product Management and Marketing teams to align around a launch calendar and build announcements based on tangible and compelling product truth.Internal and External Thought Leadership: Read the industry landscape and lead the organization with agility and creative problem solving to complement the pace of the technology industry and the changing needs of our customers. Act as a trusted partner representing the voice of our customers in strategic discussions and articulating our vision in select engagements with senior customers.Adaptive Leadership: Mobilize people to tackle tough challenges and thrive by facilitating learning, managing disequilibrium, addressing losses, and experimenting with solutions while understanding the nuances between competing opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

OR equivalent experience.

6+ years people management experience.6+ years of experience working in the tech or ad tech industry.

3+ years of experience with Advertiser or Publisher solutions and/or generative AI for monetization.Preferred Qualifications:

Committed understanding of the publisher landscape, in monetization scenarios.Experience translating market trends and customer needs into strategic recommendations.

Natural leader with the ability to educate and influence amidst high levels of ambiguity and tight deadlines.

Proven ability to think strategically and creatively, while maintaining a high-quality bar for the team’s execution.

Proven track record of leading differentiated value propositions and translating complex features into compelling narratives.

Communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization and diverse range of partners.

Product Marketing M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $155,800 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,400 - $303,600 per year.
