Overview

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Director Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team, focusing on Copilot Incubation. In this role, you will lead incubation for new Microsoft 365 Copilot features, agents, and other high-profile product capabilities. This role is responsible for guiding products from early concept through launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and delivering differentiated customer value. You will craft the overarching story for how these AI-driven assistants and capabilities transform the way people work, and you will drive strategic and go-to-market decisions that shape new market categories. This role partners closely with product management, engineering, design/UX, business planning and finance, sales and field marketing, public relations (PR)/communications, and analyst relations to ensure end-to-end success.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the overall incubation and marketing strategy for M365 Copilot agents and next-generation capabilities, ensuring each initiative aligns with broader Microsoft 365 and Microsoft AI strategies and business goals.Build and maintain trusted relationships with multiple product teams and executive stakeholders, using proficient influencing skills and market perspective to shape product roadmaps and ensure product-market fit.Lead incubation efforts from concept to launch: synthesize market and competitive insights, develop clear value propositions and positioning, craft compelling narratives, and establish go-to-market and launch plans.Operate as an expert connector and facilitator, managing without authority to coordinate cross-functional teams in engineering, design, business planning, finance, sales, and marketing toward common goals.Elicit input from leaders and guide executive decision-making to align resources and priorities; act as a trusted advisor to executives while pushing forward independently when appropriate.Develop and deliver integrated marketing and enablement assets across a range of channels—including blog content, demos, presentations, case studies, events, and training materials—to drive awareness, adoption, and advocacy.Serve as a voice of innovation to the field, translating product vision into practical guidance for sales and customer success teams, supporting customer engagements, and ensuring feedback is integrated into product direction.Collaborate with PR/communications, analyst relations, and design/UX teams to represent the incubation portfolio and tell a cohesive story across internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in businessOR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in businessOR equivalent experience. Additional or preferred qualificationsMaster's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experienceOR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in businessOR equivalent experience.

Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
