The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. We are seeking a Director of Network Spares Sourcing and Supply Chain to lead our Networking Spares initiatives. As a leader you will be responsible for managing the NW spares strategy and program performance, making recommendations to executive leadership on priorities and key operational and strategic portfolio decisions related to NW sparing. This position will also be responsible for managing E2E Sourcing and Supply operations and KPI. This role is located in Redmond, WA. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidate will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 50%.

This is a People Manager role, with responsibility for leading key network spares strategic initiatives for short term and long term with cross functional teams; prioritizing deliverables across multiple initiatives running in parallel.Build and execute on Network sparing strategies to support Data Center uptime Manage rhythm of business, action items, project timelines, and cross-function alignment with up/downstream teams both as a process and business leader.Ensure and drive system, tools, and process readiness, partnering with external and internal stakeholders to drive key milestones, track and communicate progress for both near term, mid-term, and long-term strategies.Benchmark industry practices, bring outside-in perspectives/ market intelligence, and draw implications to the Microsoft Cloud Supply ChainManage and have in depth understanding of Network related product data model including Install Base, Bill of Material’s (BOM) and FRU’s to drive solutions for Network Supply Chain foundationAs a cross functional partner Supporting Supplier Relationship engagement to ensure supplier performance aligning on RMA performance, OEM depot inventory health, and other metrics.Support RMA Escalations. Document processes and engagement protocol across upstream and downstream teams for RMA delay escalations and resolution.Optimize supply chain footprint logistics strategy across different geographies for cycle time and/or cost optimization.Establish and foster supplier relationships to optimize supply chain initiatives – performance, process improvements, and mitigate supply risks.Build an effective team structure, develop and coach team members, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence OtherOther

Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles
OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles
OR equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in Spares Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations, preferably in the high-tech Network and Optics industry5+ years of experience in managing direct reports Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Experience in Spares Operations, including but not limited to forward and/or reverse logisticsExperience in contract manufacturing and/or repair and refurbishment operationsUnderstanding of CRM and ERP systems, and supply chain conceptsUnderstanding of product lifecycle management, including Engineering Change Order (ECO) management, Bills of Material (BOM) maintenanceAbility to work cross-functionally, including ability to balance the technical and business aspects of Network and hardware manufacturingSelf-starter who has the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to influence and motivate internal and external partnersGood communication and presentation skillsProven success in leading project delivery on a portfolio of medium-to-large-scale projects across mission critical industries mainly focused on NW and OpticsExperience working cross-functionally and leading optimization efforts that drive impactful change.Creative problem-solving, analytical skills to drive key insights and collaboration across global teams within and outside the organization.
Sourcing Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
