Description

The Microsoft Azure and Industry Marketing team is responsible for accelerating Cloud products and services across the Azure portfolio of Infrastructure, Data and AI, and Digital Applications, and also taking a One Microsoft, customer-first view of our priority industries.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of Executive Communications & Speech Writing to provide external communications and external speechwriting support to our Chief Marketing Officer for Commercial Cloud & AI overseeing the Azure and Industry Marketing team. This role will report to the Chief of Staff and will be responsible for working across teams to develop all external communications and speeches for this executive. You should have a passion for technology and cloud services, a belief in the broader company mission, and the ability to tell a compelling and creative story.

We are looking for a dynamic individual with the experience to develop and execute an effective communications strategy that positively influences perceptions across multiple audiences and stakeholders. This is a deeply collaborative and strategic role that calls for close partnerships and the ability to orchestrate work across senior leaders on the leadership team, key stakeholders in Communications and Marketing, Public Relations (PR)/Analyst Relations (AR)/Investor Relations (IR), and Microsoft subsidiary teams around the world.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experienceOR equivalent experience.4+ years of experience supporting senior executives in an external communications role including high-volumn speechwriting and external communications strategies3+ years of experience working with social media platforms.

Communications IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $154,500 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $199,600 - $299,400 per year.
