Description
The Enablement & Operations (E&O) team enables Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Team to better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. How? We design, build, and manage the levers that accelerate commercial growth—including compensation, business performance and insights, planning, skilling, and tooling and engineering.The MCAPS E&O Commercial Activation team plays a pivotal role in driving MCAPS’ commercial priorities across the business. The team leads a collaborative global Fiscal Year Planning and Change landing/ enablement process inclusive of all MCAPS teams and regions, working closely with the Leadership Team and their Planning/Landing Leaders. As part of this team, the Change Management, Enablement, and Landing team (CMEL) is committed to helping our customers leverage Microsoft products to transform their business and achieve more in a world of change and uncertainty. In doing so, we further empower every person in MCAPS to serve customers by activating and innovating the Microsoft commercial revenue engine.
As the Senior Director for Change Management, Enablement, and Landing (CMEL), you will report to the Commercial Activation Leader, lead both your dedicated team and be a critical cross MCAPS community v-team lead. You will help ensure integrated design and implementation of all fiscal year changes to enable success, through a process that brings clarity and guidance to deliver against a successful Fiscal Year transition. You will manage confidential information without exception. We are passionate about this mission, and we are looking for a Senior leader whose mission is to activate our field around priority motions through innovative readiness and enablement initiatives and will be a visible advocate for the field and will be counted on to represent its voice and customers across our corporate functions. You will make impact by landing sales strategy and priorities to the field, enabling execution and sellers' capability building.

Sales Strategy Project Leadership: Develops, drives, and executes multiple sales strategy projects/programs and teams across organizational boundaries through defining plans, goals, deliverables, feedback, resource balancing, and timing expectations; proactively identifies complex roadblocks and addresses them. Initiates and drives multiple projects and topic areas including project plans, recommendations, impact, and syndication across groups. Problem Solving & Insights: Synthesizes broad findings into insights across all divisions, including implications that inform sales go-to-market decisions on complex issues, leveraging executive presence to influence decisions and proactively driving solutions to high-impact strategic sales questions and unaddressed opportunities. Cross Functional Planning: Acts as a senior advisor to senior leadership as a domain expert within Microsoft, leveraging deep technical/product/sales and business knowledge, market awareness, and subject matter expertise to inform strategic sales planning decisions. Demonstrates influences through partners across multiple divisions. Organization Capability and Transformation: You will build effective, inclusive teams that embody Microsoft culture & values. Transforms behaviors & embeds new ways of working. Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related fieldOR equivalent experience.6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.4+ years people management experience.5+ years change management experience in a global, matrixed environment.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience with an emphasis on large scope projects partnering with senior leadershipOR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 6+ years marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experienceOR equivalent experience.Sales Strategy Enablement M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $154,500 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $199,600 - $299,400 per year.
