Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. Azure Data is hiring an experienced leader that shares our passion to help customers and ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) build and modernize their offerings to integrate with Microsoft Fabric. The Senior Director, ISV Ecosystem will lead a team of experienced product managers to build and nurture a vibrant ecosystem around Microsoft Fabric. This role is pivotal in driving strategic partnerships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and ensuring the successful integration and adoption of Fabric within the ISV community. Microsoft Fabric is a comprehensive data and analytics platform that integrates various data services and tools to provide a unified experience for data professionals. It leverages the power of Data and AI to deliver insights and drive innovation.

To excel in this role, you need to be a leader with a passion for building ecosystems and driving product innovation. You should have a deep understanding of the ISV landscape and a proven ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships. Solid analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions are crucial. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across Microsoft and our partners. A strategic mindset and the ability to drive long-term vision and execution will set you apart in this role.

You will work with customers and partners to architect and design the solutions, proof of concepts or pilot projects to make our customers successful. Through these engagements, you will represent the voice of the customer, distilling new requirements and issues into improvements for engineering teams. You will also collect patterns and lessons learned from your engagements and turn them into reference architectures and best practices that can be used for scaling the ecosystem and sharing with the global Azure Data Services community.

Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure the team is aligned with the strategic goals of the Fabric ISV Ecosystem.Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain solid relationships with key ISVs. Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration that enhance the Fabric ecosystem. Ecosystem Development: Drive the growth and engagement of the Fabric ISV ecosystem. Work closely with ISVs to understand their needs and ensure Fabric meets those needs effectively. Product Integration: Oversee the integration of ISV products with Fabric. Ensure seamless interoperability and positive user experience. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, product, BD, marketing, sales, and other Microsoft teams to align on project goals, requirements, deliverables, and timelines. Efforts and maximize the impact of the ISV ecosystemPerformance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the ISV ecosystem initiatives. Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and strategy adjustments. Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development. OR equivalent experience.8+ years people management experience.Solid project management skills with experience managing large-scale, complex projects with cross-functional teams.Experience with the data and AI technology market and ecosystem.Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred/Additional Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 15+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development. OR equivalent experience. Minimum of 12 years of experience in product management, software development, solution architecture or related field.Experience with data integration, data lakes, and data warehousing.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.Solid project management skills with experience managing large-scale, complex projects with cross-functional teams.Solid leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Customer Experience Program Mgmt M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
