Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and deliver trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.Within CO+I, Datacenter Construction Delivery (DCD) is responsible for delivering datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s cloud business meeting all safety, quality, sustainability, schedule, and budget requirements.
We are looking for a Director, Construction Project Management to provide critical leadership, ownership and accountability for the team's deployment and delivery of large-scale, campus and/or regionally based delivery solutions to predictably deliver Datacenter capacity.

Manages team's deployment of large-scale, campus, and/or regionally-based delivery solutions while also socializing with regional leaders.Analyzes and recommends delivery options from a technical standpoint based on best practices and trends, supports the development and implementation of all organizational procedures and standards, and ensures they are followed by all team members and vendors.Orchestrates work with internal and external partners to resolve complex issues and ensures schedule predictability to contracted milestones and in doing so may significantly impact global construction projects.Reviews and provides feedback to the team and regional management regarding resource procurement, allocation, and human capital resources for future upcoming projects. Holds their team(s) accountable for on-schedule delivery of projects by ensuring project progress reports including scope, schedule, resources, and budget are provided.Manages the day-to-day coordination for meetings and activities with vendors, cost managers, and/or owner/architect/contractors.Facilitates collaboration with other internal teams.Reviews safe worksite(s) by adhering to organizational, industry procedures, and global safety policies.Establishes, reviews, and communicates risk mitigation goals and develops metrics, dashboards and/or scorecards to drive progress.Leads the day-to-day management of vendors.In addition, this role has people management responsibilities including driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.5+ years experience working on data center projects.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years related experience
OR equivalent experience.
15+ years experience working on data center projects.
10+ years project management experience.
10+ years people management experience.
Construction Project Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
