We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and collaborative individual to join our team as the Director - Compete Futures Strategy. In this role, you will bring key market insights to bear to help WWL craft strategies to upskill the current and future global workforce on AI skills.

In the Director Compete Futures Strategy role, you will be responsible for the following:

Collect and synthesize industry approaches to upskilling business users, higher education students/faculty/researchers, productivity workers, and non-technical executives on AI. Deeply understand non-technical AI upskilling news, events, industry announcements, social, and academic research from startups, universities, ed tech companies, and technology providers. Commission and manage portfolios of custom research from external vendors. Create and manage frameworks, benchmarks, and scorecards to compare external skilling offerings, programs, credentialing, and content, including regular reports to leadership and knowledge sharing internally. Collaborate with product teams on user experience and technical requirements, anticipating nascent industry trends and future needs. Engage with customers and partners to validate hypotheses and gather feedback. Define metrics and performance indicators with data and research. Be a trusted partner to executives and provide direct inputs from an outside-in perspective to WWL’s strategy and annual planning. Contribute to building a culture of rigorous planning and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree or equivalent AND/OR 5+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, quota management, human resources (HR), customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management OR Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree) AND/OR 7+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, HR, customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management OR equivalent experience.Experience creating strategy frameworks and articulating organization-wide strategies with an outside-in perspective. Experience working with industry upskilling and credentialing programs, and familiarity with the rapidly changing AI landscape for both knowledge workers and developers. Preferred Qualifications

Experience defining product strategy, prioritize across features, and align cross-functional teams (engineering, design, research). Experiencing managing external researchers conducting focus group panels. Communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management experience.Experience defining success metrics and measuring impact for AI adoption.

Integrated Learning IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
