Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the world's computer with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages business operations performance and supplies hardware to the datacenters. Well-defined and executed supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. We are looking for Director, Cloud Supply Chain, AI/GPU New Product Introduction (NPI) to join our team!
The Director, Cloud Supply Chain, AI/GPU New Product Introduction (NPI) will be responsible for a Cloud Supply Chain team accountable for partnering across organizations to ensure that new Cloud solutions are migrated efficiently from Engineering to Supply Chain on schedule, meeting quality and cycle times requirements, and with all systems & planning completed to build IT racks at scale. This includes identifying & delivering process improvements/change, improved effectiveness/efficiency, and optimizing collaboration across CSCP and partner teams. This leader will work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Product Management, Data Center Operations, and other key partner functions to ensure time to market growth readiness for all new Cloud solutions.
The candidate will be responsible for driving cloud hardware development, program management, and supply chain activities. They must effectively influence executive leadership and other key decision-makers to ensure alignment on strategies and priorities. This role centers on managing complex AI/GPU product initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide technical and supply chain thought leadership to shape the next generation of AI products and infrastructure using cutting-edge GPU technologies.Serve as a subject matter expert, sharing industry insights and best practices to elevate execution across supply chain and partner teams.Influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive scalable processes that improve CSCP's ability to launch new Cloud solutions efficiently.Develop and drive AI/GPU NPI strategies that enable speed and scale, while facilitating technical and supply chain decisions to align solutions, schedules, and change management. In support of rapid business growthBuild and nurture, influential relationships with senior leaders across Engineering, Product Management, Data Center Operations, and Supply Chain.Lead a high-performing team of supply chain professionals, applying Microsoft’s Model, Coach, and Care leadership principles.Monitor team and program performance through key metrics, ensuring schedule accuracy and driving on-time delivery against business goals.Identify and lead business transformation initiatives that increase efficiency, predictability, and readiness for new product launches.Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and roadmaps for automation, dashboards, communications, and advanced analytics tools.Champion AI-driven solutions to optimize NPI processes, workflows, and team efficiency.Lead operational and executive-level business reviews, delivering insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.5+ years of Cloud/server hardware development or leadership in role outside of Supply Chain5+ years of people manager experience leading and developing high performing teams in high tech.Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
