Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud and AI services through planning, building, and operating Microsoft’s cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) infrastructure datacenters across the globe. CO+I is supported by multiple business verticals including supply planning and strategic acquisition, global construction, datacenter and edge site operations, critical environment and availability, engineering, and datacenter innovation.

To help us achieve our objectives, we are seeking a Director of Business Program Management that will report to the Chief of Staff and will be responsible for leading the business programs ops excellence for the Corporate Vice President (CVP) Executive Office, including Rhythm of Business, Budget Management, Financial planning and Employee Engagement.

This is a significant role in terms of scope, responsibility, and influence – you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and senior network of stakeholders globally and lead a team.  Leadership dexterity, strategic planning experience, and ability to execute at rapid pace with focused collaboration are crucial to success in this role. 

Drives the architecture, development, and execution of the rhythm of business. Drives strategy initiatives and helps facilitate for rhythm of business (ROB); uses strategy plans to inform prioritization and business insights to predict business outcomes. Drives business review cadence. Informs direction for processes related to adherence to privacy and compliance. Runs various business programs including presentations, white papers and projects. Collaborate and enable the broader Business Management community engagement & alignment to organization ROB and CVP programs/projects/deliverables Collaborate cross-functionally with key business partners, including Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA), Finance, Human Resources (HR), Procurement, Corp Comms, Public Relations (PR), and more Workforce management and resource planning operations for a rapidly growing and scaling business to meet hiring targets. Oversight/management of highly complex multi-million budget/fiscal planning and operations Oversight/management of Executive Office processes, framework, team metrics, compliance, and operational assets Manage a team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Business Management, Computer Science, Organizational Development) AND 8+ years of experience in business management, financial management, program and project management

OR equivalent experience3+ years of people management experienceOther Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Chief of staff experience, strategy and planning experience, or management consulting experience.Datacenter domain experience.Business Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
