Microsoft is looking for a talented Director, Business Planning to lead Business Planning for Azure Storage and Networking. You will be responsible for leading monetization strategy across a broad portfolio of Azure Networking and Storage services. Storage and Networking are foundational Azure services that our customers depend on day-to-day to achieve more for their customers. You will work closely with our partners in Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Sales to define, develop and deliver on strategies to increase cross-portfolio monetization, profitability, and growth for Azure. You will mentor, coach, and elevate a diverse team of business planners to maximize their potential and growth while delivering clear business strategy, optimized monetization, customer-centric packaging and pricing, and operationally sound business models.

Monetization Strategy: Work with business planners and stakeholders to create monetization strategies that maximize revenue and margins while also driving growth.

Monetization Impact:

Partner with engineering, product marketing, finance, and other teams to develop pricing and packaging to drive exceptional business results.Develop key metrics, forecasts, and reporting in partnership with finance and engineering to monitor and manage ongoing business impact.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

7+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experienceOR equivalent experience.Additional or Preferred Qualifications

12+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related fieldOR 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related fieldOR equivalent experience.5+ years people management experience.Demonstrated ability and prior experience in leveraging data to create business strategy, determine optimal monetization approach, and deploy packaging and pricing to customers.Business judgement leveraging strong strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action and execution/operational excellence.

10+ years in product marketing, finance, and/or business planning. MBA or a Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, or equivalent field preferred.Business Planning M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
