The SME&C Global Sales & Operations (GS&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy into a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. Our team drives insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact on a scale.
We are seeking a Director of Business Management for SME&C GS&O AI Business Solutions to drive strategic directives in budget, compliance, headcount, and project portfolio management. This role partners with the AI Business Solutions Leader and collaborates with field sales, product marketing, and global channel sales teams to execute the GTM strategy, ensure operational excellence, maintain visibility, align priorities, and optimize outcomes.
Success in this role requires effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and building working relationships across diverse teams. You should adapt to feedback, adjust to changing environments, and proactively share ideas to drive business growth.

Business Operations
Oversees the AI Business Solutions (ABS) team's rhythm of business, including weekly leadership meetings, all-hands, offsites, and community sessions. Sets objectives aligned with organizational goals and ensures privacy and compliance.
Implements business strategies to guarantee uninterrupted operations under all circumstances, in alignment with corporate governance standards. Maintains robust checks and balances within the team to protect Microsoft's interests in strategic partnerships essential for ongoing business continuity.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders and Microsoft teams to oversee the creation and implementation of execution plans. Sets best practices for leveraging consolidated information, advocating for business cases, and presents cases to leader and business partners. Leads and oversees processes to ensure alignment across groups. Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with strategy to help streamline business strategy. Works with the organization to establish and report against targets and adjusts targets if necessary.
Partners with Finance to manage and plan the budget and headcount. Provides forecasting support in collaboration with the ABS CloudSolution Architect (CSA) and GS&O leadership team. Identifies actions to address forecasted challenges and improve performance. Coordinates with the Procurement team on resource allocation. Collaborates with leadership on resource management planning.
Maximizing/ Extending the Leader
Leverages relationships to influence and advise on decisions, content, and/or expertise. Leverages key partnerships to drive the agenda for the leadership team and ensure follow up. Creates alignment within partnerships by providing an objective point of view, ensuring all voices are heard, synthesizing ideas, and creating an action plan.
Leverages knowledge of the leader's goals and business approach to ensure business activities are aligned with the leader's objectives. Supports the leader in one or more key business management areas (e.g., setting key goals, priorities, and definitions; team culture and health; communications; budget/finance; industry/specific business knowledge). Synthesizes information into insights that inform business decisions, leveraging expertise to influence the leader and leadership team.
Drives cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and manage complex business needs. Engages in project management or may act as a project/program manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.
Organizational Health
Monitors team health and supports the leader in responding to team culture initiatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion [D&I], hiring, onboarding) while partnering with Human Resources to do so. Tracks the use of role-based compliance trainings and new trainings; drives the training completion rates. Plans and executes on trainings. Ensures a healthy compliance scorecard for the team/organization. Capitalizes on team strengths and identifies development areas.
Special Projects/Programs and Initiatives
Drives cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and manage complex business needs. Engages in project management or may act as a project/program manager to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple functional disciplines and business organizations.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience.Proficient in data analysis and storytelling to drive informed decision-making
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
12+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience. 8+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization. Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to build compelling narratives that inform decision-making, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic outcomes.Analytical, problem-solving, and executive communication skills
Field Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
