The Digital Win Room (DWR) is a strategic platform within MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Sales) discipline, designed to support high-impact customer engagements through ideation, strategy, and deal acceleration. It functions as a global and regional initiative that brings together cross-functional expertise—including sales, finance, engineering, legal, and solution management—to drive execution on Microsoft’s most critical business opportunitiesThe Digital Win Room Deal Strategist is a vital sales leadership role at Microsoft, focused on driving meaningful outcomes for the company’s most strategic customers. This role partners closely with Account Teams to accelerate progress on high-impact opportunities by identifying and unlocking growth potential across cloud, services, and enterprise solutions.
In this role, you’ll help drive customer success and business growth by identifying opportunities to expand consumption and revenue. You’ll collaborate across teams to align and activate corporate resources as “One Microsoft,” secure the necessary people and financial investments, and work closely with account teams to execute strategic plans that deepen customer engagement and accelerate Microsoft’s impact.

Core Integration ServicesAccount Partnership: Collaborating closely with account teams to shape and execute strategic plans and remove blockers.DWR Office Hours: Facilitating weekly regional sessions to provide deal coaching and unblock execution.Executive DWR: Engaging senior leadership in high-level strategy and investment forums for strategic deals.Strategic Customer EngagementEmbed directly with account teams on assigned customers.Act as a coach to accelerate customer outcomes, business growth, and deal closure.Drive customer maturity through strategic planning and agile execution.Integrate seamlessly with account teams to support execution with speed and precision.Stakeholder & Demand ManagementPrioritize incoming DWR coaching requests based on strategic impact.Manage stakeholder expectations and engagement timelines.Balance coaching demand across multiple accounts and regions.Expertise DevelopmentBuild deep expertise in assigned accounts, industries, and customer maturity models.Develop broad knowledge of Microsoft’s solution portfolio and sales frameworks.Stay current on evolving customer needs and market dynamics.Continuous Improvement & Insight GenerationAnalyze engagement patterns to identify opportunities for service improvement.Generate insights that inform best practices and elevate DWR impact.Contribute to the evolution of DWR services and business agility through feedback loops and innovation.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications8+ years experience with active participation in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field OR equivalent experience.5+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.5+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.Additional or preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field.5+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience.5+ years experience working with sales organizations.5+ years experience with proposals and sales pursuits.5+ years of sales experience supporting cloud solutions for customers, and deep understanding of account planning and execution 5+ years experience with solid understanding of the sales process and organizations5+ years of commercial business experience.Familiarity with Microsoft-specific processes and Sales frameworks (e.g., MCEM), with the ability to navigate and apply them effectively in dynamic environments.Demonstrated success leading virtual teams; experience in people management is welcomed.Skilled in executive-level communication (both verbal and written), with a track record of partnering with senior leadership and translating complex business scenarios into actionable insights.Adept at guiding cross-functional teams—including account, services, sales, and area leadership—through opportunity development, solution planning, offer creation, and growth acceleration.Proficient in leveraging data and insights to inform decisions and drive meaningful outcomes.Known for cultivating trusted relationships with senior leaders and contributing to the advancement of strategic initiatives.Sales Excellence IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
