We are looking for a Principal Product Design Director to lead our Platform team, which is focused on experiences that span our product portfolio, such as Measurement or Sales (CRM) experiences. Your team will work on everything from traditional advertising experiences, to future state explorations that leverages AI technology to redefine traditional ways of interacting with computers and the underlying business models for monetization. Your work will be at the heart of change within the advertising industry.

This is a hybrid role, 4x a week in office in Redmond, WA or Mountain View, CA only.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of designers, creating clarity, generating energy and delivering resultsDrive product experience strategy, interaction design, creative direction and craftsmanship for a v1 productDrive cross-team collaborations between your team and other designers, researchers, product managers, product planners, and developers from early product stages to implementationUnderstand the behaviors, motivations, and needs of our customers to develop relevant and impactful experiencesContribute to strategic product planning via experience roadmapsPropose creative solutions to complex user experience journeys, drawing on your ability to map end-to-end experiencesIdentify new opportunities and generate innovative ideas to improve our processes, products, and culture, influencing design direction and research methodologies
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 7+ years experience working in product or service designOR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 9+ years experience working in product or service designOR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)5+ years people management experienceExperience leading technical design teams and distilling complexities to create simple and beautiful design solutionsPreferred Qualifications:
8+ years experience shipping products, services, or games and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design processDemonstrated sense of Interaction Design attuned to the fundamentals of user experience, including accessibility and inclusive designStrong Visual Design skillsPrior experience designing news content preferredExcellent communication and presentation / storytelling skills, with the ability to energize teams and advocate for your ideasExperience designing in Figma#MAI #MAIMonetization #Monetization #DesignDirector
Product Design IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
