CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.Within CSCP, we are Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP), and our mission is to lead the world’s cloud experience through optimal, predictable, and connected planning. In this Demand Planner Manager II role, you will work with a team that forecasts, plans and manages capacity for Azure Data Services, which is the largest Platform as a Service (PAAS) within Microsoft’s Cloud. This role closely partners with Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Centers, New Product Introduction (NPI) and Deployment Engineering to deliver high quality, accurate and stable Demand Plans for the Azure Compute, Storage & X-IO Storage organizations. We are looking for a seasoned planner with deep Cloud Industry experience, Supply Chain expertise, Data Science skills, and a robust collaborative approach towards problem solving. This is a role that drives plan development and engagement, while impacting customer capacity availability and the bottom-line cost for the Azure Data Services Business.
There are three key areas to the Demand Planner Manager II role: 1) Develop inputs for the monthly Demand Forecast and Capacity Plan, and translating it into hardware units and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) with an optimal capacity plan across Azure Data Services Businesses. 2) Engage and partner with a wide set of stakeholders including Software Engineering, Finance, Supply Planning, and New Product Introduction to onboard New Generations of Hardware as well as New Services into the always evolving Azure Business. 3) Closely partner with Azure Data Services Engineering & Finance to accurately maintain Risks & Opportunities that will impact the Demand Plan and incorporate them into the Monthly Integrated Business Plan cadence for executive level signoff. A successful candidate for this role will leverage their analytical, leadership, and communication skills to deliver innovative solutions that will transform the way our customers interact with our products.

Lead Azure Data Services Planning initiatives; serve as primary focal point with engineering teams for all capacity topics.Develop technical insights into the product, customer value, COGS and margin drivers to make well balanced data driven decisions for the business.Providing a clear demand plan to all downstream partners and optimizing the plan for availability, business growth and cost.Operationalize and drive the (Integrated Business Planning) IBP content for Azure Data ServicesLiaison with the hardware development organization to ensure SKU development and hardware roadmaps meet the business need by dates.Embody our Culture and Values
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experienceOR equivalent experienceOther Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience moving fluidly from long-term strategy to day-to-day tactical implementation.Passionate about Cloud Computing and willing to dive into in-depth technical discussions.Communication skills and the ability to effectively manage key stakeholders, resolve problems and seek practical solutions.Proficiency in Enterprise Planning systems (such as SAP, Oracle, E2Open, etc.) and business intelligence engines (SQL, Power BI, Power Pivot, Tableau, etc.) are highly desired for this role.A proven track record of growth and increasing responsibility, specifically in acquiring scope/leading areas in supply chain and capacity planning.Experience in Demand planning and/or Supply chain management and good understanding of different supply chain models and being able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Demand Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
