Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. By blending modern analytics capabilities with business strategy, you will help influence the core infrastructure supporting Microsoft's online services including Bing, Microsoft 365, Xbox, OneDrive, Microsoft Azure, and many more! Our infrastructure is comprised of more than 100 datacenters, 1 million servers, and is managed by teams of subject matter experts working to support more than 1 billion customers, and 20 million businesses, spread throughout more than 90 countries worldwide.

The CO+I Americas team is seeking a innovative PowerBI Developer with a passion for data, analytics, process improvement, helping others, technology, and operations -- with minor Project or Program Management capabilities. You would join a team that works to deliver and evolve a holistic Datacenter Objective & Key Result (OKR) analytics and reporting platform, to enable CO+I Americas leadership with data integrity and insights, to make effective business decisions.

As a Senior Datacenter Business Analyst your top goals will be to define, build, and leverage various PowerBI based performance dashboards across large & diverse data sets, to enable leaders and industry experts gain a deeper understanding of OKRs, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across our Americas operation. You will also be supporting the transition of source reporting you develop, to long-term global CO+I support teams and assist with integrating them into global reporting platforms, OKR management strategies, and summary dashboard presentation models. Our efforts will support leaders and insights across all aspects of the Datacenter lifecycle, from build, to operations, to decommissioning -- and connect all applicable disciplines and functions, such as construction, logistics, incident management, critical environments, community relations, finance, and other related areas across the Datacenter business. Your scope will cover the landscape of commercial infrastructure, in addition to US-government-supporting capability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis

OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis

o OR equivalent experience.

3+ years experience building reports using PowerBI, Power Apps, Power Platform, Power Query2+ years experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) task and workflow management systemsOther Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in either Azure Analysis Services (SSAS) OR advanced data modeling within PowerBI2+ years experience working across teams of multiple disciplines and collaborating with diverse, technical workforcesKnowledge of or experience with, Microsoft Kusto Query language (Azure Data Explorer)Experience with data backend interactions, using SQL, DAX, Python, and RProficient with SQL Azure, Azure Services, and Azure Data FactoryProject Management skills and acumen or related certifications (i.e. Project+, PMP, Six Sigma, etc.)Previous Datacenter exposure/experienceAbility to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects with minimal oversightDemonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundariesExperience working with operational ticketing systems and databasesAbove average customer service, interpersonal awareness, and communication skillsFluency in the English language (written and verbal)Business Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
