Description

As a Senior Data Scientist with the Fraud detection team, you will work on building machine learning models to detect complex fraud attacks which are constantly evolving.

This role is available in Redmond, WA or Mountain View, CA.

You will work on all aspects of fraud detection - anomaly detection to find traces of new attacks, correlation of multiple data sources to define the perimeter of fraud attacks, development of new machine learning models and pipelines to catch attacks before they can impact the advertising eco-system while respecting user privacy.

The Ads Fraud Detection works at the confluence of Security and Machine Learning (ML). We build machine learning models for identifying and filtering fraudulent web traffic. We protect advertiser ROI and strengthen the integrity of the ads ecosystem. Our algorithms need to run in real time at web scale. We continuously strive to operate in a high precision/high recall space to best serve advertisers, publishers & end users.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Design and build efficient fraud detection machine learning and statistical models for different ad implementations that run at web-scale. Define and analyze recent fraud attacks with a goal to abstract out directional trends and build anomaly detection models to anticipate new and upcoming attacks. Create threat models for new ad scenarios, and design mitigation strategies. Analyze and incorporate additional signals that continuously improve fraud detection. Create tools and techniques that allow us to scale to increasingly complex landscape of advertising scenarios. Embody our Culture and Values
