As a Data Engineer, you’ll design, build, and optimize data solutions—including but not limited to transactional and star/snowflake data models, data engineering pipelines —that accelerate customer success, enable M365 Copilot and E5 solution deployment and adoption, and support strategic decision-making across the Microsoft ecosystem. You’ll thrive in a collaborative, growth-mindset environment, partnering with engineering, product, delivery, partner, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative data platforms.

Responsibilities
Design & Develop: Build and optimize data pipelines, models, and storage solutions using technologies like SQL, Azure Synapse, Fabric, Data Factory and GenAI.End-to-End Ownership: Align discrete tasks into complete technical solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and provisioning.Collaboration: Work closely with PMs, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient data solutions.Quality & Testing: Implement unit and integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.Continuous Improvement: Review module/feature issues, identify opportunities for optimization, and proactively resolve problems before they escalate.Documentation: Create design documents, data models, and operational runbooks for maintainability and transparency.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineeringOR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) experience with data governance, data compliance and/or data security.Experience with Microsoft data stack (Azure, Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, GenAI, Copilot, Agent).Knowledge of AI/ML/GenAI data workflows and analytics.Exposure to large-scale telemetry, customer health, enterprise data platform/warehouse or business intelligence systems.Demonstrated growth mindset and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Data Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
