Join the WCX Data Intelligence team as a Senior Data Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and growth in the cloud Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) market.As part of this visionary team moving Windows client to the cloud, your contributions will be key to revolutionizing the way Windows operates, offering boundless and flexible access to computing and storage resources on any device. As a Senior Data Engineer on the WCX Data Intelligence team you will be responsible for generating insights, improving quality, and driving impact to core WCX (AVD and W365) scenarios. You will do this through:
Designing and implementing robust and scalable data systems that enable data-driven decision-making.Identifying, modeling, and delivering actionable metrics that directly contribute to measurable improvements.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to devise and apply instrumentation, ensuring cohesive data streams.Visualizing and articulating complex concepts and insights effectively to stakeholders and team members.Ensuring data accuracy and integrity through comprehensive testing and quality assurance.Guaranteeing security and data governance.Embody our Culture and Values
Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering workOR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering workOR equivalent experienceExperience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or equivalent.Experience in databases, data warehousing, and data languages such as SQL.Experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Databricks, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric, or the equivalent offerings from similar platforms.Other Requirements

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SaaS, application remoting and desktop virtualization.Experience defining metrics and designing, implementing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ETL/ELT data transformation pipelines.Experience creating automatically refreshing dashboards with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent, and leveraging them to delivere compelling presentations and self-serve tooling for stakeholders.Experience with machine learning, distributed storage and computation platforms such as Spark or PySpark, Hadoop, Scala, or Cosmos.Data Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
