In the new era of AI, this role within Eng Ops Data & Applied Sciences team will provide you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge Analytical, GenAI and ML (Machine Learning) solutions that drive specific, measurable, and impactful improvements to key areas of Azure customer experience. In an environment of high opportunity and impact, we are looking for a Data Engineer II who can deliver on key initiatives for Security, Reliability and Quality through advanced AI solutions with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and Data Scientists.

Responsibilities

1. Design and maintain data platform to efficiently transform, manage, and access data, ensuring robustness and scalability. 2. Contribute to data modeling efforts by drafting design documents and collaborating with Data Scientists to improve data flow and storage. 3. Perform tasks necessary to adhere to Engineering Fundamentals standards, implement solutions to minimize failures, monitor data quality, and share insights for continuous improvement. 4. Implement monitoring protocols across data pipelines, build visualizations to track data health, and contribute to troubleshooting and support activities. 5. Ensure compliance with data handling policies and laws, contribute to data governance and security practices, and help document data lineage and classifications. 6. Support productization of AI/ML solutions in collaboration with Product Engineering teams, Data and Applied Scientists

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

Data Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
