Description

The Global Marketing Engines & Experiences (GME&E) team is seeking a strategic, culturally fluent Creator Strategist - Creator & Fandom to help shape how Microsoft shows up in culture through creators and fandoms. This role will support the development and execution of creator-led storytelling across Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, and other commercial brands — helping connect business priorities with audience relevance and platform-native expression. You’ll bring a sharp editorial eye, instincts for internet culture, and a collaborative mindset that spans strategy, creative, and execution. From identifying creator partners to shaping content formats and co-creation models, you’ll help bring Microsoft’s creator strategy to life — working cross-functionally to ensure every idea is culturally credible, brand-right, and strategically impactful.

Support the development of creator strategies aligned to commercial brand priorities, campaigns, and social moments. Identify, vet, and recommend creators who align with Microsoft’s values, business goals, and cultural storytelling ambitions. Help develop briefs, content formats, and co-creation frameworks that enable authentic, high-performing creator content. Track creator trends, emerging voices, and platform shifts to inform future planning and partner selection. Collaborate with creative, brand, influencer marketing, and integrated marketing teams to ensure creator work is on-message, on-brand, and on-platform. Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure legal, brand, and product requirements are integrated into creator workflows. Support performance tracking and insights generation, contributing to post-campaign recaps and best practice development. Help define guidelines and toolkits for creator engagement across business units and teams.Embody our Culture and Values



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years experience in creator marketing, influencer strategy, social content, or digital brand storytelling or related work experience OR equivalent experience. 3+ years experience working with creators, managing co-creation processes, or producing creator-first campaignsExperience with platform-native storytelling and cultural trends in creator ecosystems.Experience in creator contracting.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years experience in creator marketing, influencer strategy, social content, or digital brand storytelling or related work experience OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years experience in creator marketing, influencer strategy, social content, or digital brand storytelling or related work experience OR equivalent experience.Experience in a matrixed or enterprise organization and the ability to balance creative vision with strategic and operational needs.Experience with business to business (B2B) audiences or the ability to make technical topics accessible through creative storytellingExperience working in the tech industry.

Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
