Description

Microsoft is leading marketing transformation by driving digital-first sales motions, customer engagement marketing at scale, and campaigns to strengthen customer connections. Integrated Marketing is the fuel that drives digitally connected customer journeys to drive interest, engagement, and acquisition. We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated, data-driven content strategist to join our team and build strategies that motivate customers to take action.

The Content Strategist will develop and execute content strategies supporting the commercial cloud business, specifically for developer and software development company audiences. You will be accountable for understanding the business priorities and defining the content journeys that attract, nurture, inspire, and retain customers, and manage quality execution and delivery of the content. You will work closely with the Integrated Marketing Lead to drive business outcomes. Your network will include product marketers, integrated channel marketers, relationship marketers, sales, researchers, engineering, and agency partners to develop and execute on your plan. You will be a customer advocate championing the customer and experiences that will drive impact.

Job Location: The primary location for this position is Redmond, WA. Additionally, there are three other locations where this role may be based. Candidates who do not reside in one of these four areas will be relocated to Redmond.

Content Strategy & Development: Develop and execute content strategies to attract, nurture, and inspire developer audiences. Identify content needs, develop new assets and review all content for aligned marketing plays. Manage content budget and oversee internal/external agency execution of content development. Customer Journey Mapping: Create a content strategy and plan to address insights in the customer’s journey, ensuring the content is aligned to what the customer needs at each stage and addresses feedback.Collaboration: Work closely with product marketers, integrated marketing leads, and Studios or agency partners to develop supporting assets such as landing pages. promo or nurture emails, to execute content delivery. Content Calendar Management: Maintain a calendar of project deadlines and content launch dates. Manage kick-offs, and briefings. Customer Advocacy: Be a customer advocate. Relentlessly champion the customer and the experiences they have with the content you create—how they find it, how they consume it, how they use it. Performance Analysis: Partner with Analytics Teams to support Integrated Marketing reviews, deeply understand performance and insights to generate data-driven content optimization and new content concept development. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years experience in content strategy (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign, content strategy), marketing strategy, marketing operations, or related work experience. OR equivalent experience.2+ year(s) experience working with or targeting developer audiences.3+ years experience working with business to business (b2b) tech buying committees and purchase cycles. 1+ year(s) experience working for a technology company.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years experience in content strategy (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign, content strategy), marketing strategy, marketing operations, or related work experience. OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years experience in content strategy (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign, content strategy), marketing strategy, marketing operations, or related work experience. OR equivalent experience.Experience developing content strategies and managing digital content development. Experience hiring, briefing, and working with agency partners toward successful completion of projects.

Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
