As a Senior Content Designer in our team you will help define the future of human-AI collaboration. This is not a traditional design role. You will not just be writing words for interfaces; you will be architecting the language of partnership between people and AI agents. This means you will go beyond the UI to design the core prompts that define the agent's personality and curate the content that refines its intelligence. You will build the foundational frameworks of trust, control, and understanding that enable our customers to delegate their work with confidence. Ideally this role will be based in the greater Seattle WA area but will also consider candidates based in San Francisco/San Jose CA or Atlanta GA

Human-Agentic Experience Frameworks:Design and structure the end-to-end conversational flows for AI agents, from initial setup and training to ongoing task execution and exception handling.Develop the core personality, voice, and tone for agents, ensuring a consistent, trustworthy, and accessible experience that aligns with Microsoft's Responsible AI principles.Craft clear, concise, and purposeful language that guides users through complex interactions, explains AI decisions, and manages user expectations.Synthesize complex technical concepts into simple, engaging, and data-informed solutions that empower users to work confidently with AI.Content Strategy & Information Architecture:

Define the content strategy , identifying key user needs and business requirements to create a coherent and intuitive information architecture.Structure all agent content so that it is findable, usable, and understandable; from creating and conversing with them, to managing them. Partner with Engineering, PM and, data science to influence product strategy, using your deep knowledge of user needs and competitor experiences to propose new, design-led efforts.Mentor peers and advocate for Content Design best practices across the organization, raising the bar for quality and innovation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Arts, Humanities, Digital Communications, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field AND 2+ years experience working in product or service design OR Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Humanities, Digital Communications, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design, copywriting, technical writing, writing (e.g. for marketing, advertising, e-commerce), brand design, or brand marketing OR equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in conversation design, or designing for other interactive, multi-turn systems. Your portfolio should include examples of designing logical flows and interactive dialogues.

Ability to think in systems, mapping out complex user-agent interaction flows, edge cases, and failure states.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

A solid conceptual understanding of AI/ML principles, including the difference between generative and agentic systems.Experience designing for systems of delegation and oversight (e.g., system monitoring dashboards, process management tools, or enterprise automation software).Proven ability to make complex technical subjects easy to understand for a non-technical audience.Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.A passion for the future of work and a deep curiosity about how AI will reshape human productivity and collaboration.Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
